About Dalcom

Two decades of vehicle safety work in Nairobi.

Dalcom Kenya Limited has fitted and supported vehicle safety technology from Kilimani since 2006. We supply our own Omata digital speed limiters, install them with in-house technicians, and keep every fitted vehicle visible and recorded on our tracking platform.

What we fit
Omata digital speed limiters and GPS tracking units.
Who we serve
PSV operators, logistics fleets and corporate vehicle pools.

What we do

From the device in the cab to the record on your desk.

One supplier for the hardware, the fitting, the dashboard and the paperwork that follows both.

Digital speed limiters

Omata units cap top speed and log every overspeed event, and keep driving history on the unit itself, so a disconnection still leaves a record.

Fitting and calibration

Our own technicians install, calibrate and test each device in Nairobi or on your yard, and repair it when something goes wrong.

Live fleet tracking

Position, speed, route history and geofence alerts for every fitted vehicle, in one dashboard your managers can open each morning.

Compliance records

Device, vehicle and certificate records kept together, so inspections and renewals are a lookup rather than a search.

Products

Our own hardware, fitted by our own people.

Omata is Dalcom's brand, not a box we forward to you. That means a technician who can explain the unit, spares when you need them, and calibration that keeps the device accurate between inspections.

  • Omata digital speed limiter caps speed, logs events and keeps driving history on the unit.
  • GPS tracking unit sends position and movement to your dashboard, with route history kept for review.
  • Calibration and repair handled by the same technicians who fitted the device, so accuracy does not drift.

The platform

Every fitted vehicle, one view.

The Dalcom dashboard brings position, speed events and vehicle records together, so a manager can answer “where is it, and was it speeding?” without phoning the driver.

  • Live position

Every fitted vehicle on one map, refreshed as it moves.

  • Speed events

Overspeeding and device tampering, kept against the vehicle.

  • Route history

Where a vehicle went, and when, for review after a trip.

  • Vehicle records

Device, fitting and certificate details in the same place.

  • Sign in to the dashboard

Compliance

Built around Kenya's speed-limiter rules.

Public service vehicles and commercial vehicles above 3,048 kg must carry a speed limiter, and PSV devices must hold 80 km/h. We fit, calibrate, document and maintain the equipment, so it is in order when the vehicle is presented for inspection.

  • The 80 km/h ceiling PSV limiters must hold, and the 3,048 kg threshold that brings commercial vehicles into scope.
  • Device and vehicle records kept together for inspection and certificate renewal.
  • Recalibration and repair between inspections, so a device is accurate when it is checked.
Important note

Dalcom is an independent technology provider. We are not an agency, representative or arm of the National Transport and Safety Authority, and we do not issue certificates or official approvals on its behalf. Requirements, and the current register of licensed suppliers, should always be confirmed with NTSA and KEBS.
